Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Kashi Vishwanath Temple Situated in Varanasi, Kashi Vishwanath temple is one among 12 Jyothirlingas. Sacred place where Mahadev is worshipped as Vishwanath "Ruler of the Universe". City was unaffected during Maha Pralay. Mahadev protected the city with his Trishul. Present temple was built by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar. Kashi is called as Moksha Nagari, whoever worships Mahadev attain Moksha. Temple stands on the Western bank of river Ganga. Famous Ganga Aarti is performed daily at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Shri Rangji Temple Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh Shri Rangji Temple is the largest temple in Vrindavan dedicated to Sri Goda-Rangamannar or Ranganathar and Goda Devi is Andal of Srivilliputhur who composed Tiruppuvai. Mahavishnu as Ranganathar is in shayana position on Sesh Naag. Temple is exactly a mixture of North and south. Story says that Ranganathar answered Andal's prayers. In Rangji Temple Krishna is present in kalyana kolam( bridegroom) with a stick. To his right is Andal who is Goda Devi and left is Garuda. Andal had expressed 3 wishes, To spend her life at the feet of Krishna in Vrindavan. Krishna accept her as his bride Ranganathar be offered Ksheeranna (dessert made of rice and milk). Form of Durga Devi who is  represented as a symbol of severe tapasya.  Brahmacharini Temple is located close to Durga Ghat at the bank of the river Ganga in Varanasi. Maa Brahmacharini is carrying a rudraksha mala & Kamandalu. The rudraksh represents her tapasya for Shiva. Brahmacharini means who lives in an Ashrama  who pursues the sacred religious knowledge. She is energy of Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Maa Shailaputri is the daughter. Maa Shailaputri is daughter of mountain King Himavan ( shaila means mountain and putri daughter). Shailaputri Temple, located in Marhia Ghat, Varanasi. Maa carries trishul in her right hand & lotus in her left hand, riding a bull. She is worshiped on the first day on Pratipada Story related to this temple is once Parvathi Devi was upset with Paramashiva and came down here.
