Atulya Nadeeswarar Temple is located in Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu. Paramashiva is worshipped as Atulya Nadheswarar and Parvathi Devi as Azhagiya Ponnazhagi. Paramashiva is swayambhu here.

Sthala Puranam says that, Mahavishnu wanted to relieve himself from the sin of killing Mahabali during Vamana Avataram. It is believed that Mahavishnu prayed to Paramshiva in this temple and was relieved from all sins.

Sambandar wished to worship Paramashiva here, but saw that the temple was locked. Sambandar then sang about Atulya Nadheswarar standing outside the temple. It is said that Paramashiva opened the door by himself for Sambandar. Thus Temple is one among the Paadal Petra Sthalam. It is believed that Pandavas stayed near a cave situated here. Small pond is seen which said to be created by Bhima, called Bhima Theertham. MahaShivarathri is very famous here.
