Kannudaya Nayaki Amman Temple is located in Nattarasankottai, of  Kerala. Devi is Swayambhu here and is worshipped as Kannudaya Nayaki / Kannathal. Amman is famous for curing eye related issues. Kannathal emerged here for destroying Mahishan,  an asura who is supposed to be killed only by a women. 

Story says that, once people who were m traveling throughthe area, could not proceed after a certain place. The people went to the King of that area. But the day before people met King,  Devi came in his dreams and told him about a Vigraham near the forest. King and the people went to the forest and started digging. While digging, a person got hit in the eye and was injured. They found the Vigraham and as soon as it was taken up, the person's eye was cured. As Devi cured the eye sight of the person, she is worshipped in the temple as Kannudaya Nayaki Amman.
