Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
Dharmapuri, Telangana 

Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam is located at Dharmapuri, Telangana State. The temple is on the banks of River Godavari. Narasimhar here is Swayambhu. Sthala Puranam says that Mahavishnu took Narasimha Avataram and destroyed Hiranyakashipu. Narasimha’s anger didn’t go down even after destroying the asura king.

Prahalada and many Devatas prayed for Narasimhar to calm down. 

Thus Narasimhar medidated here in this place in Yoga Mudra position. Later, King Dharma Varma an ardent devotee of Mahavishnu built the temple. Temple have sannidhi of Mahavishnu, Mahadeva and Brahma Deva so it is also called Trimurthi Kshetram. 

Narasimha Jayanthi,  Vaikunta Ekadasi and Karthika Pournami days are very important here.

Vittala Panduranga and Narahari Sonar Narahari Sonar was a great Shiva Bhakta who lived in Pandharpur. He worshipped Mallikarjuna Shiva temple near Vittal Temple, but never wished to  look at Vithoba's temple even once. Koppudai Amman Temple Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu Koppudai Nayaki Amman Koil is located in Karaikudi. Adi Shankaracharya, visited this temple and has installed Sri Chakra. Vigraham of Devi is made of Panchaloka, (a mixture of 5 metals).  Another uniqueness of Temple is that Utsava Moorthy and Moola Vigraham is the same. This is seen only in Chidambaram Natarajar Temple.  There were two sisters Koppudai Nayaki and Kattamma. Koppudai Nayaki treated her sister’s kids as her own.  But Kattamma didn't allow this.
