Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple is one among the ancient temple located in Udupi District of Karnataka. Paramashiva is worshipped here as Chandramouleshwara. Offering oil lamp to Chandramouleshwara is very auspicious. 

Sthala Puranam is about Chandra Deva, who was cursed by Daksha. It is said that to relieve himself from the curse, Chandra Deva came here and prayed to Paramashiva. Pleased with the Bhakthi of Chandra Deva, Paramashiva appeared before him and was relieved from the curse.  

Temple was built by Chandra Deva and thus Paramashiva is called as Chandramouleshwara here. Temple pond where Chandra worshipped Mahadev is called Chandra Pushkarini.

Chandramouleshwara Temple is adjacent to the Anantheshwara Temple.
