Vaitheeshwaran Koil is located in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu. Paramashiva is Vaidyanathar ( who heals diseases)here & Devi Thayyal Nayagi. Temple is one among the Navagraha Parihara Sthalam of Angaraka ( Mars) 

Sthala Puranam is about Angaraka (Mars), who suffered from leprosy, Vaidyanatha Swamy cured Angaraka. Temple is famous to heal Skin related illness. Thayyalanayaki Ambal stands holding Sanjeevi thailam, which cures diseases.

Subramanya is worshipped as Selva Muthukumaraswamy. 

There is Sannidhi is for Dhanwanthara Murthy and Angaraka here. It is believed that a bath in Siddhamirtham tank will cure all diseases. It is said that Shri Rama & Lakshmana did final rituals for Jatayu here. There is a temple tank Jatayu Kundam.

Naadi ( Palm leaf) astrology is very famous here which is believed that past, present and the future of everyone are written in palm leaves and can be found there.

Vittala Panduranga and Narahari Sonar Narahari Sonar was a great Shiva Bhakta who lived in Pandharpur. He worshipped Mallikarjuna Shiva temple near Vittal Temple, but never wished to  look at Vithoba's temple even once. Narahari Sonar was a gold Smith who was excellent in his work.  One day a merchant who was childless offered to donate a gold kavacham to Panduranga if he is blessed with a child. His prayer was answered and merchant visited Narahari Sonar, and requested him to make kavach. But Narahari Sonar a being a Shiva Bhaktha denied this. Koppudai Amman Temple Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu Koppudai Nayaki Amman Koil is located in Karaikudi. Adi Shankaracharya, visited this temple and has installed Sri Chakra. Vigraham of Devi is made of Panchaloka, (a mixture of 5 metals).  Another uniqueness of Temple is that Utsava Moorthy and Moola Vigraham is the same. This is seen only in Chidambaram Natarajar Temple.  There were two sisters Koppudai Nayaki and Kattamma. Koppudai Nayaki treated her sister’s kids as her own.  But Kattamma didn't allow this.
