Pushkar is called Temple city of Rajasthan. There are more than 500 temples in this city. The only temple in the world for Brahma Deva is situated here. Brahma once tried to kill a demon named Vajranabh with his lotus. After killing demon, Brahma wished to perform yajna to clean himself from this killing. During the Yajna, Saraswati Devi wasn’t present there so to complete ritual Brahma married Gayatri, and completed the yajna. On arrival when Saraswati Devi came to know about Gayatri, 

She got furious and cursed Brahma to not to be worshipped anywhere, but later feeling sad told that Brahma’s temple will be here in Pushkar only. According to the people the temple is more than 2000 years old.

Vittala Panduranga and Narahari Sonar Narahari Sonar was a great Shiva Bhakta who lived in Pandharpur. He worshipped Mallikarjuna Shiva temple near Vittal Temple, but never wished to  look at Vithoba's temple even once. Koppudai Amman Temple Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu Koppudai Nayaki Amman Koil is located in Karaikudi. Adi Shankaracharya, visited this temple and has installed Sri Chakra. Vigraham of Devi is made of Panchaloka, (a mixture of 5 metals).  Another uniqueness of Temple is that Utsava Moorthy and Moola Vigraham is the same. This is seen only in Chidambaram Natarajar Temple.  There were two sisters Koppudai Nayaki and Kattamma. Koppudai Nayaki treated her sister’s kids as her own.  But Kattamma didn't allow this.
