Sri Rama Chandra Temple

Ammapalli, Telengana

Ammapalli Seetha Rama Swamy Temple is located near Hyderabad. This village is called Ammapalli because of Seetha devi. There are two ponds in this temple, & Chakra theertha is of Shri Rama. Vigraham is said to be 1000 year old.

There is a large image of Mahavishnu in sleeping posture above the gateway. At entrance to main temple there is Koorma avatar which is very rare. It is believed that this temple was built by vengi chalukyas in 13th century. Vigraham of Shri Rama along with Mata Seetha and Lakshmana is seen here.

Hanuman Vigraham is not seen inside the Garbha Griham, but placed near Dwaja Sthambam facing Shri Ram. Shri Rama Navami festivals are performed in grand manner every year.

Jai Shri Ram
