आदित्य हृदयं पुण्यं सर्वशत्रु विनाशनम्

जयावहं जपेन्नित्यम् अक्षय्यं परमं शिवम्


Aditya Hridaya Strotram is advised by Agastya Muni to Shri Rama inorder to defeat Ravana. Stotra is mentioned in Yudha Kandam of Srimad Ramayanam. Shri Rama was very fatigue before war & Agastya Muni gave Aditya Hridayam as Updesham.

Stotra is dedicated to Surya Deva who grant victory to all. Agastya Muni enlightens Rama saying that Stotra has the power to eliminate all enemies & bestow victory. Rama prayed to Surya Deva & felt energetic to fight with Ravana. Evil vanishes from life who keeps the Sun in Heart.

The sun is the soul of all that is dynamic and static.

सूर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च

Vittala Panduranga and Narahari Sonar Narahari Sonar was a great Shiva Bhakta who lived in Pandharpur. He worshipped Mallikarjuna Shiva temple near Vittal Temple, but never wished to  look at Vithoba's temple even once. Narahari Sonar was a gold Smith who was excellent in his work.  One day a merchant who was childless offered to donate a gold kavacham to Panduranga if he is blessed with a child. His prayer was answered and merchant visited Narahari Sonar, and requested him to make kavach. But Narahari Sonar a being a Shiva Bhaktha denied this. Koppudai Amman Temple Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu Koppudai Nayaki Amman Koil is located in Karaikudi. Adi Shankaracharya, visited this temple and has installed Sri Chakra. Vigraham of Devi is made of Panchaloka, (a mixture of 5 metals).  Another uniqueness of Temple is that Utsava Moorthy and Moola Vigraham is the same. This is seen only in Chidambaram Natarajar Temple.  There were two sisters Koppudai Nayaki and Kattamma. Koppudai Nayaki treated her sister’s kids as her own.  But Kattamma didn't allow this.
